A spot the difference puzzle is a visual puzzle in which the aim is to identify one or more differences between two otherwise identical scenes. The differences can range from glaringly obvious to incredibly subtle.

Spot the difference puzzles are generally presented as two pictures depicting a similar scene. The viewer can see both pictures and compare them, although some variants insist that the viewer look at one of the pictures for some set time (e.g. thirty seconds) before looking at the second picture, in which case the viewer must rely on their memory of the first picture and is not permitted to re-examine it after first seeing the second picture.
